Arch or Cathedral tops are not available on mitered doors.

The hanging strip is a 3/4" thick piece of wood mounted inside that provides a more secure way to attach the bookcase to the wall. The wall-hanging option adds a hanging strip and makes the bottom rail the same width as the top rail. The finished bottom puts a flat bottom underneath, which looks better when it is mounted high on the wall.

A hutch will have a fixed shelf at your choice of height and one fewer adjustable shelf. The center divider will not extend below the fixed shelf and there are no adjustable shelves for the space under the fixed shelf. Click for suggestions on fixed shelf height.

Contemporary bookcases come standard with rounded inside and outside edges. When a door kit is added, the inside edge is squared off. If you plan to place several bookcases together and add your own moulding, it is better to use squared-off outside edges.
